Mensa Binasukses was initially known as Masa Bhakti Surya (MBS). The company was established in 1973. It started with four branch offices and engaged in distribution of pharmaceutical raw material and finished goods.

In 1985 Masa Bhakti Surya was acquired and become one of the major companies within Mensa Group .

In 1993 its name is changed to Mensa Binasukses to reflect the association with Mensa Group. With the name change, the initial, MBS, is still retained.
